Description

This herb stands out with its particularly intense flavour, even stronger than that of classic fresh coriander. Its long, slightly spiny leaves are excellent for fresh use and drying. To encourage abundant leaf growth, flower stems should be removed regularly. The plant prefers a semi-shaded location with consistently moist soil.

Sawtooth Coriander is also known as culantro (Costa Rica and Panama), cimarrón, recao (Puerto Rico), chardon béni (Martinique), Mexican coriander, samat, ban dhaniya, wide coriander, Burmese coriander, sawtooth coriander, Shadow Beni (Trinidad and Tobago), Nagadhonia (India) and ngò gai (Vietnam).
